Even on the ski slopes, a smartphone is part of the basic equipment for most people. But who hasn't experienced this? To arrange a meeting point for lunch, you have to take off your gloves on the lift, and then you have to type with icy fingers. That's a thing of the past, at least for those wearing the Ski Helmet RS1 from LIVALL. Thanks to the integrated headset, the helmet connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Making calls, using messaging services, or simply listening to music: It has never been so easy to do all this without having to use your hands.

The system is controlled simply via a central button in the left earpad – one press and the connection is established. The walkie-talkie function is particularly practical. Using an app developed by LIVALL, a direct line can be set up with ski buddies without constantly having to reach for the mobile phone.

But the RS1 can do even more: In the event of a fall, a sensor registers the impact, activates the app, and sends an SMS with the geodata of the presumed accident location to a pre-defined phone number. Last but not least: As soon as the smartphone is no longer connected via Bluetooth, the helmet indicates a possible loss with a signal. That's how communication works today – and now also in the ski resort.
